Why does my Fitbit App kick out my Charge 2 & 3 when I add the Sense?

I was so excited about buying and using my Fitbit Sense yesterday. At last, a bigger display to see the time instead of squinting, plus the promise of 6+ days before needing to recharge. However, when I do ‘messy‘ work, like painting, cleaning, gardening, I planned to use my Charge 2 (to keep my Sense and the band looking nice). However, the Fitbit App will not accept both devices. It chucks the other one out. Or have I missed something?

Thanks @Odyssey13. Yesterday it wouldn’t allow both, but today it works. Happy camper.

@Jotex   Just to clarify things for others who read this post.  You can't have two devices that have the App Gallery on your account at the same time.  So you can have the Charge 2 and the Charge 3.  Or you can have the Charge 2 and the Sense.  So I say use the Charge 2 for the messy work and keep the Sense on your account.  That is the easiest way to switch between devices.

My husband wears a Blaze to work, because he cannot wear a device that is wi-fi capable or has storage.  He wears the Sense at home.

I have a new Sense and a Charge 4 - would love to have them BOTH on my account. There are days, as previously noted, where the day's activities would benefit from using the smaller, less expensive Charge 4, rather than the Sense. I've read that having two Gallery-using devices is not possible, but perhaps in the future this will be added (hope so!). Dropping one from the account to re-instate the other seems counterproductive, while allowing both seems like a nice, user-friendly and thoughtful capability that I'm sure many could benefit from. For instance, on Strava, I can list all my bicycles and select the one I use for each ride - it's an indispensable feature.

@Odyssey13  - Thanks. I already read that and get it. I am giving my Charge 3 to my daughter and keeping my Charge 2 as backup and for ‘messy’ jobs because  I don’t want my new Sense band to get dirty.

Once the Sense is installed, you should be able to add the Charge 2
