Why isn't there an options of sounds provided for selecting a sound one would want for an alarm

My guess, and only my guess, would by because they were developed as silent vibrating alarms, and it is only relatively recently in terms of Fitbit's history that any models had speakers.  I'm also not sure the demand is there over other feature requests, as many people don't want to wake a co-sleeper.

But you could make a request on Feature Suggestions Board. 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
