Am I missing some kind of feature here? If Spotify needs the phone to play on Sense, and you need the phone to hear your collected. music on the other apps, what's the point of having music apps on my Sense. I'm just curious as to why you wouldn't just use your phone. Thoughts?

First, not directly about your question, note that you can store playlists from Pandora or Deezer right on the Sense, if you have Premuim accounts for those services.
But, to your question, I guess it would be if your phone is in your pocket or bag, control from your wrist might be easier than than taking out phone to, say, skip a song.
Or maybe I'm at home and set the phone down in another room, still within bluetooth range, and want to skip a song, etc.

I agree. Had I researched further before making the purchase, I would have bought something else. Previous Fitbit models allowed storage of my music right on the device. Sense requires subscription to Deezer or other service. Removing music storage option in the top of the line model seems like a big step backward to me.
