Why is the Sense unable to store personal music?

ANSWERED

These displays have been up for months now seen in Best buy, Walmart and Target.

Why do they STILL show the Versa 3 and Sense as having ability to store personal music? So where exactly can I "store" personal music, if this is true?

See for yourself.......

Hi @gbrian9090 - I can’t answer for what those stores are displaying but here are details from the Fitbit Store. You can read the full instructions in the Sense manual.

@gbrian9090   I saw your original title, before it was "clarified" by the moderator.  The display says, "Stores and plays music," not stores and plays "personal" music.  A fine line, but not false advertising.  I had my personal music on my Versa 2 and am a little miffed that Fitbit requires me to have a paid subscription for any music on a Sense/Versa 3.  I don't and I won't, so I am left with music from my phone.  I always have my phone with me and this is the way I listened to music before my Versa 2.

@SunsetRunner That is a Fitbit display, the real deal.

The chart doesn't say anything about storing personal music, it simply says that music can be stored on the tracker.

I have to agree with @LZeeW in that their are no false claims here. Maybe a little questionable in that we had once had this option. However a windows or Mac would be needed and fitbit has been quietly removing support for both platforms. This may be why.

Yes I understand the user wants personal music, but this option was never promised.

I'm also miffed as to why users request a feature, the feature gets added. Then on the next tracker, the feature has been removed.

This is not the first time that a wanted feature gets removed.

I was under the same impression that as with previous models I could store personal music on it. I won't buy another one.

I am just syncing my music to my sense right now . Lucky me i am using deezer premium and i can store offline music to my sense. But i must say it is quite slow to sync and the sense must be in  charge case while syncing...

Yes @ahmetkececiler when your sense is plugged in, the WiFi is turned on.

In the future while charging, Deezer will be automatically updated.

BTW by tapping on the picture icon, you can add a photo.

This is typical from what i've come to expect from your company. Poor
answers and excuses trying to wordplay what your original intentions were
obvious to everyone, not to mention how it appears to the educated.
Say what you will, however the exact same "storage claim" chart was up when
the Ionic had this feature and you were able to store music.
So what music can I store if not "personal music "?
Please enlighten me and the rest of us. We would love to know.

Thank you

I don't see any fitbit employes in this thread @gbrian9090. We like you are users of fitbit products.

Sorry. Carol.  I should have been clearer.  You state it can play "personal" music. The same way in fact as instructed on the Ionic misleading many (as proven by former and present responses)

Proving this to be false what do you plan on doing considering this to make us happy again.

Also,  all time put in Id like it to be substantial.  Let me know if you'd like a phone chat for me to be more specific.

Sorry took so long to get back to you, it's because I got so fed up and stopped using the watch not caring so much for it anymore.  If I lost it I probably wouldn't even notice for a while. Gives you idea how displeased I am.  Anyway, you say fine line and still stores music? Really? Great!  So niw that we're clear on that how in fact can I store music on it. ( which is false advertising if I cannot have my phone so you know disconnected from the world and play my "Stored music"

Im excited to try please send instructions !!

What?!? ... Who are you?? There's reading between the lines and the plain old stupidity.  Let me first say the exact phrasing and words and display were and are still used to show the ionics ability to function as an offline independent music player and you camt convince me that fitbit did not intend this since im sure they preferred to sell more watches.  So now that ive proved this was their intention why would they use "Same thing" when moving your pointy finger down the page on sense of etc... Please think before responding what im saying this time.  Also, either way id like an answer as to what music according to you I can "Store" on it.  Please give me 1 specific example.  That would be great!

@gbrian9090 who is who: Without proper tagging, do we know which fitbit user is being addressed?

@SunsetRunner said that her Versa could store personal music, it can, but it does require a pc and fitbit connect (no longer supported) to load the music onto it.

Your Sense and Versa 3 is advertised as being able to store music from a couple of music streaming services

Bluetooth headphones may be connected to your Versa or Sense tracker. The only reason a user would do this would be to play music that is stored in the tracker.

Yes it does support offline music storage.

How do I listen to Pandora on the watch

How do I listen to Deezer on the watch?

It would be nice if we could load the specific songs.

I can even stream the music from my wrist to a connected speaker or car radio.

As for inserting of photos on the community. On a phone tap the photo icon and follow the prompts

Screenshot_20211020-033043_Chrome.jpg

On a desktop the icon is a camera.

You may also want to reread the community guidelines. No online forum finds it acceptable to yell in all caps. We have the ability to type in italics, or bold to emphasis. From a PC we can change font size and color.

Fitbit is not our company, we are simple, as you are, fitbit users, ranting at a user will not change the functions programmed into the watch. This also goes for moderators of the forum.

Have you downloaded your user manual yet?

@gbrian9090 - As @Rich_Laue said, we are just other Fitbit users. You may want to contact Fitbit Support directly. Tap Help at the bottom of the page, then tap Get support.

It is called false advertising. These devices don't store music locally.

The Fitbit Sense can store playlists from Deezer and Spotify, so you can play music right from the watch. While you can control Spotify from the watch, you can’t download music from that service to the watch itself

Lot of angry and frustrated, understandably, customers around due to the issues with sense and versa 3. We need to be courteous towards fellow users who are here to help. Anger & frustration doesn't help anyone

I'm sure Fitbit knows by now that there is lot of frustrated customers of these devices around the world. These devices were sold to customers with half baked solutions. I'm still hoping Fitbit will do the right thing by the customers which are around 28 million plus strong. At least this the hope.

Responding to

@m-umar

"These devices don't store music locally."

Wrong these devices have been artificially limited by fitbit, they very well have the ability to store music, if they didn't, deezer wouldn't be able to store playlists on these devices,

Why have they been artificially limited? Only fitbit can answer, my belief is there's some back door pocket lining going on.

Or are the developers at fitbit really that lazy they haven't added support yet.

As described by @SunsetRunner and @Rich_Laue, the Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 is able to store music from streaming services. Bluetooth headphones should be connected to play music. Learn more about it by checking the following articles:

How do I listen to Pandora stations on my Fitbit watch?
How do I listen to Deezer playlists on my Fitbit watch?
