battery drain - full charge barely lasts the night

My Sense began draining quickly starting May 10. Under normal wear/usage it was consuming about 20%/day, however since Saturday morning, May 11, it consumes nearly 10%/hour.

After Saturday morning swim, the Sense was unresponsive for ~1hr.  When it started responding again, it was showing 50% charged.  I charged it that evening to about 80% before sleep, but it did not last the night

I've since performed a factory reset and allowed it to get to full charge, but in the last 2hrs it has consumed 30% of the battery.  While not wearing it, the heart-rate indicator has displayed values from 68, to 86, to 134 rather than the expected dashes (- -), so some process appears to be stuck.

Hi @JtGoalie - with those symptoms your watch has suffered water damage, if it gets hot when charging stop immediately.

It may not be safe to wear either. Consuming that much battery will generate heat and it can burn you.

Even if you manage to dry it out inside some damage will have been done and you can experience other problems than just short battery life.

If it is still under warranty you can get it replaced.

Thanks...I've let it drain down, and now when I place it on the charger it flashes 0%, then goes off, but never appears to actually begin charging.   How can I determine if it's under warranty?

@JtGoalie - thanks. You can always chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support, they will be able to tell you.

If it isn't under warranty they may offer you a discount on a more expensive later model which doesn't have all the features your watch does.

I don’t think it’s water damage but I could be wrong. Mine won’t stay charged for more than 2 hours and I’ve disabled everything. I don’t swim and I’ve never gotten it wet. This started happening last week and to many others by the sound of it.

Hi @tsh2000 - your watch is now clearly faulty and can be replaced if under warranty.
