fitbit notification services not running. phone restart needed, nothing works, spoke to live chat

I have had my Fitbit Sense for around a year now and it has been working fine until I was asked to move my fitbit account from Fitbit to Fitbit signing in using Google,

I guess this has something to do with Google buying Fitbit.

but since I moved my /Fitbit to Google or since then there has been an update which has affected the watch,  my notifications to my watch has stopped working, everything else on the watch works, logging exercise, calls to my watch but no notifications, when I click on my phone and click on the notifications link a red notification service not running, a phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker. is at the top of the screen.

I have tried this and it makes no difference at all.

I have spoken to 2 different people from Fitbit on the live chat,  the first time for 30 minutes and the second time over an hour, they give me fix after fix to try and nothing is working, I have tried so many different tests on advice of the Fitbit person and sadly my watch doesn't send notifications, I have emailed them photos of my phone, I have showed them photos of my settings, I have tried to delete the app, unpair the watch reload the app, pair the watch and the phone back together and then for around 2 hours the watch receives notifications, then for some reason it just stops working again, they ask me to check setting after setting, but I keep explaining to them the settings are correct as for 2 hours after i pair my watch back to my phone all notifications work.

so what is then stopping it working, they both have unfortunately failed to help me get my watch up and working with my phone, so what options do I have left, they gave me a case number 50858065 so I don't have to discuss the same stuff with the next person, but surely this cant be such a hard fix, as now my watch doesn't do what it should do surely it isn't fit for the purpose I bought it for.

I am at a total loss and I am spending so much time personally trying to google information or reading chat forums to try and get this to work again.

My phone is a Redmi note 10 pro.

Hi @Paulaky2878 - try this test.

Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

If notifications then work check the battery savings option on the phone to make sure that the Fitbit App and associated services are allowed to run in background.
