Have had the same FitBit Sense for at least the last year that required charging every 4-5 days. I didn’t make and setting changes and accepted the most recent firmware update 128.6.17. Since accepting the firmware update the battery is draining in under 24 hours several times has gone dead during the day or night losing readings.
Did a hard restart, changed to a basic FitBit face, and not using many features like weather I was using before and it’s still draining.
Did open a case with FitBit support; however, curious if anyone had issues and if able to get it to stay charged longer?

Hi @Mic444 - if you look in the forums, there are many similar posts. What is odd is that doing a factory reset doesn't fix it.
Either you install the same bug or the update damaged the watch definitively and it is now suffering no matter what version of firmware.
It would be really interesting to know if you were able to install only the factory reset firmware if the problem remained with that version.
It should be noted that water penetration can display this rapid discharging. It may have taken place days before the update and might be the cause rather than the update.

@Guy_ I wish there were a way to roll back to the previous firmware version just to check, but agree the watch is most likely damaged now… and of course out of warranty so I need to buy a new one.
I’ve been a FitBit user since 2014 and have never had a battery drain issue although have seen reports of it over the years in this community forum.
For me the battery draining started instantly that same night after doing the most recent upgrade. I’m meticulous about caring for the watch and do not wear it taking showers or even get it wet washing hands (and I can’t swim;))
Interesting saw an article that other Sense users are having the same issue over the last few weeks with the same upgrade.

Yes I am having the same issue I have had my Sense for about a month and it would go 5-6 days until charge. I did the update two days ago. Fully charged yesterday completely dead this morning ..Fitbit has some explaing to do.

I have exactly the same problem.
Before update: 5-6 days.
After update 128.6.17: 1,5 or maximum 2 days.
Fitbit begins to annoy me with this stupid bugs.
I had around 7 different devices from them, almost all of them had warranty issues. What are the odds?

In my opinion this is, from a legal point of view, not a warranty issue but more a liability issue. The damage to the device is caused by the update, therefore the "out of warranty statement" of Fitbit is arguable.
Fitbit has caused damage to the device and is liable for it. Fitbit should therefore repair, by an update, or replace the device.

Hey there,
I only recently decided to do the update and I am facing the exact same issue.
My battery would last 5+ day with me using whichever features as normal.
Post the update my sense battery doesn't even last 24 hours with a full charge.

Hi, Shàmai,
my problem eventually was solved by speaking with Fitbit.
In my case, after the update the "detect snoring function" was somehow activated.
This function is very energy-demanding and normally it's not ok to have it ON if you don't really need it.
So, to check if yours it's also ON, and to turn it OFF, you can go to:
