Data sharing and access via Health Connect with VeryFit app

Setup: SmartWatch for sleep tracking syncs with VeryFit app. VeryFit writes sleep data to Health Connect. FitBit has read + write access to Health Connect Sleep data.

I expected such a setup to result in FitBit showing sleep data. But apparently no sleep data is shown in FitBit.

What am I missing?
