Does the sleep staging need a separate device or not?

Hi everyone,

Was interested in seeing the new sleep breakdown on REM etc. Do you need to have a separate device, or rather a new one, for this?  I have a Surge that I got for Christmas last year. It does the usual sleep analysis but without this new extensive material. Can I set up my Surge for the new sleep measures?  Do I have to change the Fitbit app or some such?

I'm sorry but sleep stages do not work with the Surge. See: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2163/
