Help with sleep score “suddenly” not appearing

My wife’s Inspire 2 has stopped showing sleep score for last two days, both on the device and in the IPad app.

she is getting generic sleep Awake-restless-asleep info and her step info is syncing fine. Pulse rate info vs time is synching fine. We have restarted device, turned Bluetooth off and on. Need more suggestions and explanations if possible.

if it is fixed, does it repopulate these earlier days with sleep score or do you have to wait until “tomorrow” to see if the fix worked?

I wish there were more comprehensive troubleshooting. One suggestion is to completely delete the app from iPad or phone, restart the iPad or phone, and then reinstall.  It would help to have an explanation why this works — for example, the sleep score “subroutine” can be buggy or hang up and yet rest of fit bit is running fine. Troubleshooting could explain this in general terms. Also, any idea “why” this happens..

thanks for any and all suggestions and I promise to post what “worked”

The sleep score is there this morning but not for the previous two nights. This makes it hard to plnpoint what fixed it:

1. while charging Fitbit device press the button to reset it and get a smiling face.

2. scroll up the Fitbit until you get to sleep, tap ‘sleep’ until you get a number, then scroll down to data and tap (?)

3. Get in and out of app on iPad but did not delete it or restart the iPad.

I use a Pixel watch and I am having the same issue. I have deleted the app on my phone but that didn't fix it. J

Hoping someone has another fix.

The thing analogous to what we did would be to “restart” the Pixel watch, whatever that means. And check if it is grabbing step data and pulse data okay, just not the sleep score and details (and the symptom is it “ used to” and stopped this one feature inexplicably).

in our case it didn’t correct past data but the next morning it had the sleep score etc.

good luck.

Hello @Jackson74

Thank for letting us know that you're seeing the sleep score & sleep stages graph again. It can be tricky to figure out what fixed the issue.

Every now & then, I don't get a sleep score & stages. But it's usually for only 1 night. And, when the app shows I've gotten my sleep again, I don't see that the app retroactively gives me a sleep score & stages for the nights that these didn't appear.

Hello @Davesgarden ,

Sorry to see that you're having sleep tracking issues.

I've seen several other Pixel Watch users mention that they started seeing their sleep score & stages graph after cleaning the sensor area on the back of their Pixel Watch. Have you had a chance to try this?

When you have a chance, would you please give us a little more detail on the issue you're experiencing? Are you getting the basic sleep graph: Awake, Asleep, Restless?

Do you see a green light on the back of your Pixel Watch? That's the heart rate sensor & it's needed for sleep tracking.

So I deleted the app, than I turned off both my phone and watch. After
restarting both phone and watch I reinstalled the app. The next morning
everything was fine.
