In trying to figure out the vagaries of my sleep tracking results, I found this article that does a really good job of explaining the difference between sleep trackers and polysomnography, and what you can reasonably expect from current wearable technology as well as results from various studies and the author's personal comparison tests. The bad news: Sleep trackers have their limits. The good news: Fitbit tested the best!
