My sleep is not being recorded including "other sleep"

Hi there,

My Sense 2 Fitbit often doesn't record the first few hours of my sleep.

An example is it recorded 1.38am - 7.14am / 74 sleep score. I actually went to sleep around 10pm and was definitely asleep.

The app lists 'Other sleep' -  and recorded 1hr 27m between 10.55pm-12.36am. Why wasn't that included in the sleep score?

I've checked that the sleep sensitivity sensor is at 'normal' not 'sensitive' setting and it's set on normal.

I do wear my watch on my dominant wrist and realised that it was set to non-dominant, so I've updated that now.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated, as I'm keen to improve my sleep but confused about why my sleep isn't being recorded accurately.

Many thanks in advance.

Who know why, but it thinks you were awake from 12:35 to 1:38.  What you can do is to delete one of the 2 sleep segments and edit the other one to include the full time range so it will look like one single sleep segment.  And you could also edit the 10:55 beginning sleep time to 10:00.  Not ideal and sometimes feels not worth the effort.
Sleep score is based only on the longest sleep segment so if it thinks you had 2 sleep segments, the score will ignore the shorter one.
Also FYI sleep sensitivity when it is getting sleep scores and sleep stages based on heart rate.  That was only for older watches that did not measure heart rate and could only measure sleep based on body movement.

I am unable to delete the "Other Sleep"  or to edit my wakeup time on the Sleep Timeline. The older version allowed me  to adjust the wakeup time which I did as often as not to include a missing hour or so of sleep and compare apples to apples each day. Now that seems impossible to do. I have no idea what the + Log Sleep button is for since when I change the wakeup time to the correct time and I tap Save it tells me that I Can't save sleep session - a sleep has already been logged in this time period.

Have enjoyed the Fitbit trackers since 2017, but it no longt in the Sleep Timeline.er lets me see the information that I track for sleep time - maybe it is time to move on.

@GoodOldPete  To edit sleep, tap Sleep Duration, then the 3 button drop-down menu button symbol at top right, then Edit sleep.  that seems to be giving people a lot of trouble finding.

+ Manually log Sleep lets you log a sleep session, similar to logging an exercise session, but it is for an independent sleep session, such as a nap.  It cannot overlap an already existing sleep session.
