Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.

I really hate the new sleep layout. It's really hard to read and it doesn't show the time for each stage. I liked knowing the exact time in each sleep stage not just a percent total or total for that stage . It helps with tracking overnight for health issues. I liked the previous version better. I will start exploring other options if this isn't changed.

I have a Lux, lately your changes to the app make it much less attractive and less useful. The latest changes to the sleep data are bad, the graphics are hard to read and you can't see details like time awake.
Please just go back to the way it was before.
I have a premium membership, but now I am thinking of buying another fitness watch and it won't be a Fitbit and won't be a Google product!!!!

How do I give this new format a double thumbs down?

Fitbit, please stop emailing me when someone replies to a thread. I've tried unclicking the "Email me when someone replies" checkbox on my last two messages on this thread, including this one. We're coming up to a thousand messages on this thread. Jeeze, I get it! I can't find a universal way to stop getting forum reply emails. I need to spend my time finding another smartwatch.
UPDATE: Duh, Settings wheel at the top, UNSUBSCRIBE.

I find the new sleep app visual to be difficult to read and much less clear than the old visual. Hoping you change it back.. it takes twice as long to review your information.

The new format is inferior and very difficult to read. This redesign is a step backwards. The old format was far more effective and less chaotic. This may just be what pushes me to finally switch to a different brand of tracker.

I don't like the new sleep tracker at all. It is very busy to view and hard to read. I liked the old one better. Is there a way to go back to the old one?

So I've been playing with this app to get back our sleep stages like they used to be. I renistalled the app, and I am a premium member, apparently that has something to do with it, and the sleep stages come back like they used to be, but I noticed every time I close the app. & reopen it, the stages would go back to the new design, which none of us seem to like. I have reinstalled that app 8 times and as long as I keep the app open, the sleep stages stay where they used to be, as to what we liked. I'm not sure if it'll work for you. And I don't know how to post this reply so everyone can read it. But so far so good for me. Good luck.

The sleep tracker is no longer accurate. I'm wide awake and moving, but it tracks sleep.

Hello @userkatie
Although I doubt that this information will change your views, we recently learned that the sleep data redesign was for Accessibility, especially for users with visual impairments. The updated sleep section is now compatible with screen readers so users who have vision issues can see their data. The sleep graph was redesigned for color blind users. That's why it was divided & stacked into the various sleep stages as opposed to the bar graphs. Apparently, color blind users weren't able to tell the which bar graph was which sleep stage.
The redesign was also necessary for future app enhancements.
If there is specific sleep data that you are having trouble finding, let us know. We'll help you navigate to what you're looking for.

If you don't have the new Sleep chart, turn off auto updates. It. Is. Horrible. Simple tasks are buried under 3 or 4 tiles. You can no longer compare more than 1 day on the main tile. Data more than the current 7 days us no longer seamlessly accessible. Data visualization is more confusing than before.

This new update is horrible. It was so simple to read the graph before you updated. Not only that but I no longer have the Health Metrics section. Plus it takes a longer time to sync every morning. I’m frustrated enough to quit wearing the darn watch. I have a Sense 2. Please give us back the older version.

Sorry, but the new update to the sleep portion sucks. I want the previous version back.

I agree. Very difficult to understand & no benchmark data is available; you can choose the benchmark but only your data appears. It no longer shows you what the benchmark is for your age. Google please go back to the original format.

I agree. Unless they change it back to what we had before, I will not be renewing my subscription.

BRING BACK THE OLD SLEEP GRAPH!!!!! The new one sucks, is chaotic and frankly unhelpful. Who in their right mind decided this new graph concept was a good idea? Booooooo!!!!!!!
