I think it sucks.  Once again, you've taken about the only useful thing about the ap and ruined it.  Why on earth would you do this after all the negative feedback you had with the last crappy overhaul of all the other features?  The only reason I held onto it was the sleep ap and now you've ruined that as well.  Is there any way to get my old look back?  If not, I'm off to shop for another device.  Byeee.

It was much clearer before the update. I not happy with the design of the new update. I don't want to mirgate to Google.  It's a **ahem** SHAME.

The new sleep metric is awful!! It's very difficult to read.  Bring back the previous one. There was nothing wrong with the previous metric!!

It is horrible. No data on deep sleep and rem. Hard to read. Just plain bad. Go back to the prior version or I will no longer be a customer.

I think the link you posted is cut off and doesn't lead to a viewable page.

Add me to the list of those who do NOT like the new sleep format.  Useless! Please go back to the old format ... SOON.

I was told by Fitbit that it is an update and cannot be reverted back so I highly doubt syncing with Google will help.

Best Answer

Well, it seems to be universal.

the new look totally sucks.

I use it for sleep and steps.

and an Apple Watch is looking like a real option.

I've had the new sleep app now for about 2 weeks and i ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! Not only is it impossible to read, it's a very ugly design. It's also too small and you can't turn it to landscape and enlarge it. The benchmarks don't work and there is no oxygen-variation time data as there used to be, so i cannot tell when or if i had a spike as I could before. In other words, the oxygen data is 100% useless.

but worst of all, i don't trust the sleep data anymore. It is completely off from the data I've accumulated since 2017. It's like Fitbit all of a sudden claims my sleep has deteriorated dramatically, for no apparent reason! Terrible, terrible "improved" version. I'm not going to bother wearing my Fitbit at night anymore and may just buy an Apple watch.

The updated version of the sleep tracking app is terrible. The sleep timeline is hard to read, and the oxygen level is no longer available. Please bring the old version back!

Why have fitbit taken away the detailed sleep patterns, times awake/asleep in different stages etc, That was the reason I bought it because of my heart condition to show information to my Doctor etc, Fitbit says its temporary But obviously that's Not true, Angry and upset

I hate hate hate it. Every day I’m told I’m a giraffe on the home screen (who cares? It never changes. Why is important enough to be on the home screen?) and clicking in, the app no longer gives the useful breakdown between restoration, time asleep etc.  I found restoration particularly interesting and directly related to the previous day’s activities so you could learn from it. It is now dominated by confusing graphs with far too much information on them, mostly in blue. Please ditch the ‘upgrade’ and go back to the old format.

I don't like it - can I change it back?

Wow, I joined fitbit community this morning for the first time (have worn a fitbit for 2 years), because I HAD to find somewhere I could complain about the changes to the sleep app. It's all I use my fitbit for at the moment. I've put up with it for a week, and I'm no longer looking forward to waking and checking my sleep stats any more. If I do, I can't decipher anything in my sleepy state, and I close it again, having got nowhere.

Joined the community and found this post, only to discover 49 PAGES of people saying that the changes are awful, the graph very much NOT user friendly, and everyone wants it changed back! Feel a great sense of relief that it's not just me.

They really shot themselves in the foot with this one, didn't they! 😆 I cannot fathom how it was approved to go live, ANYONE can see at a glance that's it's dreadful and hard to see the details. 10% of the population is colour blind, and it's like they've either forgotten to consider that fact, or consciously decided to shaft colour blind users.

I'm sure they didn't think people would drop fitbit in favour of other brands, but here we are! 🤦‍:female_sign: I am going to hang in there for now and wait, in the hope that they'll see eleventy million people saying NO, and do the right thing and change it back. But the various comments discussing the pros and cons of other brands has been super helpful, if not.

It STINKS!  I hate new version.  Hard to see (esp. 75yo eyes!) & basically not as useful or informative.

Sorry, the latest Update is absolutely Horrid for the Sleep app, parts appear to overlap and it's hard to decipher. Please go back to previous version as it was excellent!!!!!!.

I would like the old colorful sleep chats back. They were so much easier to see than the current monotone charts. It was easy to see awake, rem, light, and deep sleep when color coded.
