Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.
What do you think? Let us know!

What is happening with the sleep app? There have been masses of replies on this subject to indicate it’s not working for users. Are there plans to revert back? Please could someone from FitBit reply to us? As mentioned before, the useful easy view to scroll through time slept days, months, even years back has gone. Now you have to click into every single day and can’t compare across timescales. There’s a graph but it doesn’t show individual times slept, just a rough indication using bars which is unclear. You also can’t easily compare time went to bed vs time woken up over days, weeks, months ike you could before. Again you have to click into individual screens and can’t compare. Please can someone rectify this? Customers should have been involved with this change, many people have been using this app for years and years and rely on it. Some people on the Community have said they use it to support health related issues and are now missing important data. Please can this be taken seriously. My current Fitbit is broken and I was about to buy a new one but I’m considering other options due to this change and have been a customer for seven years. Very disappointed with the change and even more disappointed that no one is replying to any of these posts. I do wonder, as some have said, whether this change is to make data storage cheaper or easier for Fitbit, as this change doesn’t make sense and is not an improvement for customers, it’s just removed a lot of functionality. Please provide an update, are there any plans to revert this back to the old version?

I do not like the new sleep page. Can see nothing at a glance. I liked the horizontal bars as it gave a much clearer picture of sleep zones. Like other users I want to know if there is a way to go back to the old version. Also, I miss the little smiley moon. Always cheered me up. Overall loathe the new version and I don't access it at all.

I so agree. I'll probably leave Fitbit because sleep was the mist important item to track and now it doesn't count sleep that is broken and it's unpleasant to read.

I like the new sleep visuals, however the bench mark page shows no benchmarks. I think they are missing!! Please advise!

Yes, please put it back the way it was. Hard to see with older eyes. I rely on the percentages, bam they're gone. Please restore what worked well.

Fitbit is no longer useful to me. I used it primarily to track sleep. Even bought my husband one to track his sleep. The new app does not give the info that I want. I have never liked fitbit as a watch so may just go back to a regular watch.

I *absolutely loathe* the new sleep display...the lack of color makes it MUCH harder to read and the fact that turning the phone sideways doesn't expand the graph makes it IMPOSSIBLE to read. I was looking at getting a new, better fitbit but since I mostly use it to track my sleep and the app is now absolute garbage at that, I will not be upgrading my watch unless the app is fixed. You tried to fix something that wasn't broken and you absolutely borked it. Worse in every way.

Completely useless to complain. It's Google. Right? They have a habitual disrespect for the masses who use their services. What care they if a few thousand or even a few hundred thousand whine about their services or products. It will not go back, they will do nothing for you, there is no one to speak to about it, and they don't care.
I advise if you truly want a fitness watch, you complain to your health providers, if you are wearing one at their offer, or you just drop fit bit and vow to never buy or use Google products again. This is the way our society is going. Large Billionaire companies who could care less about public opinion, who arrogantly do what they want, and to blazes with anyone who complains about them. They bought out Fitbit to kill it. That was their plan. They. are not. listening. to . you.

This upgrade for the sleep tracking is awful.
It's impossible to read. It's not an upgrade. It's a downgrade. I'm going to find an alternative.

Wait a length of time to see if they fix it. If not, ditch it and get something else instead.
And the next time you buy something try to avoid anything that is google owned. They have demonstrated their lack of customer service, by their incredible failure to respond at all on this forum to the feedback they have received AT THEIR request from their paying customers. They may choose not to agree with their customers, maybe they have some alternative longterm business goal that they feel warrants riding this storm. But to not respond at all, to ignore their customers, is unecessary and quie unbelievable.
This failure to reply is so bad it has become quite amusing, a parody. I can imagine it coming up in customer service training about how "never to do things"
They seem to be sitting in the corner sulking. Yep, my anger has turned to derision.

thumbs down.
liked the old one better - easier to read/see sleep stages, oxygen, times awake. also i went to export data for my sleep doctor, and all i got were these meaningless scores. somewhere online i saw you could export/print better graphical depiction of sleep patterns - but all i get is a csv file with scores - like i got a 16 for rem, for example. what's my doctor supposed to do with that?

The new sleep features SUCK! I want a refund! The sleep profiles are the only reason I pay for the app. Change it back!!!

Same reason for me, breathing and heart rate during sleep.
definitely goodbye to Premium, and probably to the entire Fitbit program.
