Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.
What do you think? Let us know!

@RebeccaFitbit It's horrible. So much so, that I'm looking for a new device with no connection to Google. They have ignored the pleas of thousands of faithful Fitbit users to give us back the format that was actually useful. For those of us with sleep disorders (until your downgrade I didn't realize how many of us there are), your new format is no help at all. I used to be able to go over all my stats with my doctor. He'd look at my progress between visits. New format? No longer can help us. We were told that you can NOT revert, but once in a while we temporarily get the old, good format back and it's up to date. If we can accidentally get it back, we can permanently get it back. Google just doesn't care about the needs of its customers. That's obvious. They think if they just ignore us we will accept it. I know several people that already ditched Fitbit. I will be one of them once I find a device with a similar sleep tracking format to what I used to have here.

I don't like the new design at all! If we can have the old one back, please tell us how. It was helpful to see precise times I was waking up. Now i have a range. Please consider giving us the old design or I'm done with FitBit and looking into other options.

I was so loyal to Fitbit and it broke my heart to see it falling apart bit by bit. @SunsetRunner is too new to understand what we had and lost. Everyone I know that uses Fitbit has ditched it since the sleep change. Including the person that introduced me to it.

@SunsetRunner We all keep telling you why it's not useful. You won't listen.
THIS was useful. What you are trying so hard to promote isn’t.

It’s terrible. Clearly the company doesn’t care about its customer base. Most of your current users are now actively looking for a new tracker from a company that is responsive to its base.

Based on reading the thousands of negative comments on the new sleep app change, at least some of them could be addressed by FITBIT simply by providing a manual for how to use the new interface - e.g. editing sleep times that many complain no longer exists. The new interface DOES provide this, and actually improved from the old way to edit. When in the sleep display:
1. Click on the three dots in the upper right and select "Edit sleep"
2. Select the sleep session to edit
3. Fill in the form that pops up with the correct start day and time and wake up day and time
4. Click "Save" in the upper right, then close edit sleep by clicking the "X" in the upper left
I'm not crazy about the new interface like most of the comments, but I highly recommend providing "How to Use" support to eliminate at least the technical comments. It still bothers me that FITBIT has not done so and you continue shooting yourself in the foot. I also note that many of the negative comments are based on the lack of any response. Providing "How to Use" support would address this as well.

I'm a software guy. These things come second nature. My problem is the overall legibility and aesthetics

It feels like Fitbit Sleep for Dummies. It is also highly inaccurate. Tells me I was asleep when I know I was awake and reading. It's appalling.

Definitely do NOT like the new set up for sleep. I can't click on any section, I like to see what times I was awake or sleep. Definitely not a good update.

Google is 1 more step closer to killing Fitbit for good. Email support worked just fine a few weeks ago. Now they've gutted it. They have this automated message
"we’re no longer offering support by email, if you don’t see what you’re looking for or need additional support, you can always chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected."
This means the Fitbit support team has been fired.

I think the last sleep log update was horrible and then I wake up this morning and the sleep stages are gone. Come on - this is unacceptable. Nothing looks or feels the same. I just purchased a new Sense 2 and very disappointed in both the recent sleep log updates. The original sleep log worked well - just don’t understand the bait and switch. This is not what I paid for and I regret the money spent for it to end this way.

No REM, Deep, or Light stages shown. This is cheap and unacceptable for the prices paid for products and service.

What is going on? This is a horrible graph update and very disappointing design.

As someone who was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea early last year, I got a Fitbit to help track my sleep. I found the sleep stats quite helpful and easy to understand, until the app updated. Now, I find it basically useless and difficult to read. Please make it an option to revert back to the previous version!

@RebeccaFitbitCan we please get a response from google on this? STOP IGNORING US. It's rude.

Yes! I had been able to track my sleep times and scores for ALL of the 7 years I have used a Fitbit. As someone who struggles with insomnia, this was something that let me track my long term progress.
Very disappointing that they do not see this as a loss.
They tell us they made it more actionable. How is being so specific for individual nights better than tracking scores for months and years?
SMH.

I know that I am shouting into the void, but I cancelled my subscription and have ordered a Garmin. I am so bummed to change after 11 years with Fitbit, but this company has taken a nose dive and I am not going to support it. Too bad y'all couldn't/wouldn't address our concerns.
