Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.

I took am seriously unhappy with the lack of reporting REM sleep and Awake. Previously I have received this information and find it useful to match io with how I am feeling the next day.

It is awful. Please go back to how it was. I am currently looking into other products due to this change

The new sleep tracking display is terrible. I need to get a new Fitbit and am now looking at other options because the new sleep tracking is useless. It gives very little clear information, unlike the old one. Please please please bring back the old one asap.

It's a downgrade, for all the reasons mentioned. It is sold as a solution to a problem, but the solution is still trying to find the problem (which doesn't exist). In the meantime we are robbed of info about REM-time distribution, screen tilt, dark mode, a.m.o.'s
Please restore these functions in a next update soon, and feel free to add solutions to real or fantasized problems alike, as long as you don' t sell downgrades as updates.

Six months later and the sleep information has still not been reverted to the functional version it was. This needs to be changed. We have been patient. Please correct the mistake that was made when the sleep page was "updated." Waiting for this nightmare to end...

I am disappointed. This new Sleep page is ugly. I want the happy moon and fireworks back when I get a good sleep score. Where are all the cute animations that used to make FitBit stand out? It is depressing. I understand Google is ruining Fitbit to force everyone to buy Pixel Watch instead, and no amount of us asking for improvements is going to change that- it's a decision based on money, not on user experience. I'm just disappointed about it.

Also, no sleep score this morning and I know I had more than 3 hours.

I’m the same, I have 2 new watches but it’s hard to get the technology working. I hate that Fitbit did this.

It has been the better part of a year and still no relief for the weary. The “update” to sleep really needs to go. Bring back the pre-April version we all used. The current version of sleep that has been forced on us is not a change we have adapted to and it has been months. Obviously, the update was a mistake according to the users and we have not given up letting Fitbit know. Please, listen to us!!

Troubled, last two nights my Google watch is not picking up my entire sleep. Not showing deep sleep. Not tracking all sleep. All it shows is a series of dots.

In the past, I very specifically upgraded to the premium subscription because of the ability to easily see when I fell asleep, the duration of time spent in each sleep stage (including when awake), and equally, or maybe most importantly, the "Sleep Restoration" graph companion to the 'Restoration' score. After losing my Fitbit Charge 4 when the strap connector broke while working on my car engine, getting a suitable replacement Fitbit tracker took a good while. Now, with the new 'Charge 6' tracker and the Fitbit Premium trial subscription, I have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out how to display the "Sleep Restoration" graph only to finally learn that the most important feature to me no longer exists. I don't think the person(s) responsible for removing this one feature realizes just how drastic a decision this is--especially for someone like me. It was the first thing I looked for when I awoke every morning.
They say 'A picture is worth a thousand words'. In that vein, the bell shape of the curve and the information it provided in one glance spoke volumes to the associated 'Restoration' sleep score and was the very epitome of this quote.
Long story short, no 'Restoration' Sleep Graph, no paid Premium subscription for me any more. I highly suggest heeding the replies in this thread and returning to the beloved sleep experience we all knew and loved.

Are there time limits on being able to post reflections on a previous night's sleep, please?

I still didn't like the new sleep data layout.

my sleep app states 71 bpm for sleep, then the health metrics version states 67bpm...why? When I know I am sleeping very hard, I never have deep sleep, maybe 38 minutes and 5 hours of light sleep with 2.5 hours of REM. Does this even work?

sorry to be blunt, but i incredibly dislike it.
The only reason I suffer through this watch every night as it scratches my face and disrupts my partner, was so that I could track my REM and Deep Sleep, as I've had issues for years.
Now that you've taken that away, I really have no reason to keep using this device.

Mine has been okay lately, I downloaded the app on my phone and my iPad and as soon as I look at it on my phone, it somehow shows up on my iPad. It is super frustrating, but i haven’t found any other watch that works.
