Sleep score went down after going back to sleep!?

So i went to sleep at 1:40am, woke up 7:00, saw my sleep score was 76. Then obviously i decided to sleep some more because i slept only 5 hours, slept another 1.5 hours, and sleep acore went down to 71!

How does that make sense?? Yeah that 1.5 hours didn't have any rem or deep sleep, bit no way any part of a sleep should have a sleep score higher than the whole sleep score...

Happened to me today, too and has happened often. I think it is because, for me anyway, during that second part of sleeping I am not in sound sleep and so heart rate is a bit higher and also, as you say less REM or Deep Sleep, which means the percentage of those parts of sleep go down overall. It's looking at the whole sleep and the 'good sleep' percentages become proportionately less. That's what I imagine is happening anyway!

That’s definitely odd! Sleep scores are influenced by things like sleep quality, REM, and deep sleep. If your extra 1.5 hours wasn’t as restorative, it could explain the lower score. Similar to how Surah Kahf teaches us patience and reflection, sometimes understanding sleep patterns takes time. Sleep trackers give us good insights but aren’t always perfect. Keep tracking your sleep to spot patterns! For more wisdom on patience, you can check Surah Kahf Read Online at https://surahkahf.com/.
