Why is the majority of my sleep restless?

ANSWERED

It's always rare when I feel refreshed after eight hours of sleep. But I have been getting eight hours of sleep everyday and the majority of it is restless. 5-6 hours of my sleep tends to be restless and 1-3 hours is deep sleep. First of all, is this normal? I never am in deep sleep for more then three hours. This has come to my attention ever since I got the FitBit. How can I decrease the amount of restlessness during sleep and feel refreshed when I wake up? IMG_0617.PNG

Hmm, maybe it's when you're sleeping. I've read that people tend to get the most restful sleep between 10 pm and 6 am. (I try to get to bed by 11:30 and get up at 5:40, but then my body seems to like getting between 5 and 6 hours of sleep.) I do have periods of restlessness, but it's rare that I have more than 10 minutes a night unless it's a weekend, when I tend to sleep more.

Unless your job requires you to work odd shifts, you might want to consider changing the times you go to bed and get up.
