A blank space on the top of my Fitbit surge screen

I recently purchased a new Fitbit surge and it was opened once I returned home. Once I charged it and paired it, I notice a blank space on the top left area of my screen, is this normal or should I return it to the store at which it was purchased??

Hi @Michaelfive0On behalf of all our Fitbitters friends, I welcome you. Cat Happy

Congrats on your new Surge! As you can see on the pictures bellow, the display shouldn't have a blank space on the top. Take a look of the pictures and consider the possibility to return it. But if you have any doubt take a picture and attach it so I can take a look of it.

it is fairly hard to see but it is the irregular shape beside the battery and there is a smaller one on the right hand side of the photo.

@Michaelfive0 Hey Michaelfive0. First. If you want to respond to someone directly, begin with the @ symbol as I did responding to you. Now for your question. I see it in your picture on the upper left hand side and about midway down on the right side. Are they (what appears to be bad liquid crystals) present on every display screen? If they are, it seems to me to be a bad LCD screen and I would return it for a new one. If you look at the pictures that Yojana posted, you don't see those irregularities. All images should be crisp, defined and nothing with an irregular shape should be there. Good luck!
