I haven't heard anything like this lately but it sound like hardware issues, it might be the button on your Surge, have you tried restarting your Surge? Some times it works for this type of issues. Have you tried different exercises? Is the rest of your features working? I'd like to know this information to have an idea of what it might happening in your case. ![]()

Best AnswerAll of the other features are working well--it's just this one in this particular mode. I can get it to work, eventually, after lots of pressing and holding down the button. Should it work on the first press or is there an operating procedure that I don't know about (i.e. like holding down the button until I see a certain flash or pressing the button a certain number of times)? I will try powering off and see if that helps! Thanks!

Thanks for taking a break from stepping @JFTaylor64! Wow! Too many workarounds to make it work. Your right, it shoul be working on the first press. Let's review the steps, choose "Exercise", press the "Select" button or tap the screen > A stopwatch screen appears with stats at the top and bottom of the screen >Press the Select button to start your exercise. I'm sure, you know all this! ![]()
I think it might be related to the hardware, try the restart but if that doesn't work, please get in touch with Customer Support, so they can further assist you.
