Bubble in band and the top button on the right (facing) button stopped functioning.

FitBit has sent me a new one to their credit, but this watch REALLY needs to be reengineered!  Please FitBit remake the watch. My Surge.jpg

True, but unfortunately their functionality falls short of why people buy the Surge. It's badly engineered and way over due for an update.

It should have been prioritised as a matter of urgency instead of development going into these other products. It is still being sold with many buying it none the wiser that it probably won't last a year.

Hey hey hey @Chris1963, how are you today? I know that maybe you are wondering why won't fix the quality of the existing products prior to release new models, right? Well, let me explain you that Fitbit is always a company at the forefront, that is why we are designing new trackers and implement new features on them, without neglecting the ones that we previously launched, as the Fitbit Surge, which one of our best high performance trackers. So trust me, this information is always reviewed by our developers, so I'm pretty sure they are working in order to improve the quality of all of our trackers, as the Fitbit Surge.

Very important for developers to understand is that some of us are very active outdoor athletics.  I trail run, I participate in mega outdoor runs, I hike (Appalachian Trail in Virginia is just about right out of my back door), I lift weights, I dance, I average 25 to 30,000 steps a day.......   All in all I get sweaty and dirty.   To say "keep the Surge dry and clean and away from hot weather" is silly.    The Surge needs to be redesigned to be a reliable tracker that can take harsh activity and  used hard.  Or make it cheap and disposable.

BTW - I have a TimeX watch that I've had for years.  It has been all over the world with me.   It has been to the top of the Rockies from the US and up into Canda, across deserts, in the rain forests and  on a LOT of dives (SCUBA).   I have no idea how many years I've had it. Like their advert says - "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking"   So reliable watches can and have been made.

Hey hey hey @art435, it is great to see you more often in the Community! I can see you are a very active person, and sounds nice all the activities you do. Robot Very Happy Congratulations my friend! And yeah, regarding your feedback, you are totally right, the Fitbit Surge is a tracker designed for high performance workout and exercises, so of course it should last more, however, please also note, that at some point, especially if the temperatures are very high, the performance of the tracker may be affected. But regarding the wristband durability, don't worry, our developers are aware of this and I'm pretty sure they are working on it!

Have a great day!
