Hello,
I had the same issue. If your Surge is still under warrenty then contact fitbit at (877) 623-4997. Mine was under warrenty still so they sent a replacement. Hope this helps.

My charge doesnt last a day. I've only had it for a week. I have not been that active lately and I rarely turn any of my notifications on. I rarely sync as well. I previously owned a nike fuel band and the battery life on that lasted more than a week. I was also super active with the fuel band. Can someone please help me...dont want to give up on the fitbit when im just getting started.

My surge has been doing this since the beginning of the year. It used to last 5-7 days before I had to charge it. I don't have notifications turned on. My GPS is off. It now lasts a day and a half max. It's frustrating to stop and charge it every night now. Is they warrenty on the surge a year?

Regarding the bluetooth sync problem, I think I found a workarround. When I keep the watch charging, somehow after few attempts, the fitbit app on android manaqges to connect with it.
So it seems to be a problem with the battery of the device not delivering enough power to keep a good bluetooth signal maybe.
Fitbit support engineer replied to me, I am surprised they asked me to keep HR off to save battery and even shutdown the watch when not needed... It seems he forgot what an activity tracker is meant to be used for.

had the same problem. just called and had them set up a replacement.
they can see the time it takes to go between charges from you sync'd data.
if they have suggestions on how to extend the life, they will tell you. But if you're already not using GPS, then they will likely just check if you're still in the warranty period.

My Surge is not counting daily steps but adds to previous days total - this misinformation is also wrong on my cell phone???
