Bike ride and distance on dashboard

I just discovered the bike mode on my surge, used the bike today, it recorded really well, distance ect , synced no bother, showed on my exercise dash but the bike ride distance doesn't add to my overall distance on the dashboard, I cycled 7miles but it only shows 2.5miles which must of been the distance I walked today.
Why is the bike distance not adding to my overall distance? Or does it only record what you walked/ran?

Hello @Highland, good to see you around in our Community. Indeed, note that the distance recorded whit bike activities it will count for that specific time but not for the total count. As you said only those activities step based will count for your overall distance as the trackers are designed to calculate your distance information based on your step count. I have tested it and I used my Surge to track my route using GPS. Despite I made 11.86 km. My overall only count .82km based on the amount of steps I have.

Although I think it will be a great improvement, so I invite you to share your comments in our suggestion board. If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments.
