Bike stats w/ missing miles

Hi, I have recently recorded a bike ride using my Fitbit Surge, however it looks like the data has been recorded but it's showing the wrong information. The ride was 19-20 miles but on dashboard it says 6 miles, the map attached is correct so it must have recorded it. Is there a way to reload an activity to see if it uploads properly?

Thanks for the details about your bike. Can you please force close the Fitbit App and check the information. This is not an usual behavior of the Fitbit App, I'd like to see that information; is it possible for your to take an screenshot of what your can see there. Since there is no way to reload the activity or add information to it.

I'll be waiting for your response! Cat Wink

Hi - thanks for the reply.

i will attach the screen shot. The ride was 19.8 miles long, and as you can see took 58 minutes, yet the logged distance is 5-6miles and it wont transfer to apps like Strava currently either.

I'd be grateful for any advice

thanks

Thanks a million for the picture and details @Gc15Cat Happy

In regards to your inquiry about the miles for this Bike activity, the picture shows that you did 10.9 Kph in that ride. This is the average speed per hour, as you did around 58 minutes which is almost an hour; it gave you a total of 10.54 Km. Are you comparing your Fitbit tracker with other device? As I'd like to know how you measured the place where you biked, since you mentioned that your ride was of 19.8 miles (31.8 Km). Smiley Embarassed

In the meantime, please try to restart your Fitbit Surge a couple of times and try it again! Also take a look of these tips to improve the accuracy of your GPS readings.

It's great that you're using Strava to track your bike routines. You can follow these steps to troubleshoot the syncing issues with this App You can always take a look of this information about how this third Party App connects with Fitbit when using GPS trackers.

I'll be waiting for your response! Smiley Very Happy

It's a regular route I ride and it's always between 19-21 mile depending on a couple of variations. I did this actuall ride with my brother who used his Strava app on iPhone and it was acurate at 19.8 miles, my recording using the fit bit has lost over half of the distance. And the pace was 19mph

My problem seems to be much the same, using the bike mode, mileage, time, elevation not transferring to iPhone when ride is finished.

Hi @Gc15 thanks for getting back. @Lester1969 Welcome to the Forums! : Woman Happy

@Gc15 I appreciate the details you're adding. Please try to restart your Surge a couple of times and check the tips to improve accuracy when using GPS mentioned above. Is this the first time that this happens? Did you make it connect with your Strava Account?

@Lester1969 You can also check if your phone and Fitbit is up to date. Did you check the steps above already?

These are all bike miles and elevation numbers. I purchased the Fitbit last week so I assume that it is updated. I am not using my iPhone, but rather my iPad to sync and record all the stats. I have restarted my Fitbit a couple of times and miles appear to be correct now, but the elevation gains are still lacking.

Hi @Lester1969, thanks for confirming that information! Good to know that the miles on your bike activities a better now. I'd like to see the information that you're getting. Would you mind posting an screenshot of the elevation that you got in your last workout please?

Also make sure the altimeter isn't blocked by sweat or water (its in the back of the tracker). You can use some compressed air at a distance to clear/dry it.

Let me know how it goes. I'll be waiting for you response! Smiley Happy

Here is the screen on the results of the bike ride, but the info is not complete. When. Scroll through the ride info on the Fitbit, it has elevation, and other stats. Only the miles, time and average seem to post to this screen. It seems to be short a few statistics.

As far as the elevation gain, when I run it works perfectly, but when I ride it does not seem to log anywhere.

Hi @Lester1969! Thanks for getting back with the screenshot. I've checked my iPad and I see the same information you have there and if I scroll down I can see speed, HR for the workout, HR zones, and my bike impact. It doesn't show the elevation information. If want to see that specific stat you can check your Fitbit.com Dashboard, on the Log > Activities page. Cat Wink

Yojana,
You are correct in the information that is posted on the iPad, but if you look at the activity log, it shows that the elevation gain was 160 feet. I have ridden this ride dozens of times and my cyclometer indicates 1,040 feet. The ride is quite hilly so I think that this is a whole lost closer!
Is there any other way to get this info from my Fitbit? It shows correct on the Fitbit but does not transfer to the iPad!

Hi @Lester1969! Thanks for getting back and clarify where you're getting that information. In regards to your inquiry, at this moment there isn't other place where you can get this information. And you're right, the Fitbit App doesn't show that information at all. Smiley Frustrated

You can add your vote and comments here in this request: Include Elevation in App, that is pretty similar to the one you're requesting. Members of the Community can place new ideas in this board so they can be implemented in a future update, this is the best way to make your voice heard. The more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains.

Thanks for the blessings, I'll be around if you need anything else. GBU Woman Wink
