Bluetooth connects for 3 seconds then its gone

I can only get my surge to connect to bluetooth classic for like 3 seconds then its gone. Is it my phone or the surge itself?

Thanks for the steps that you've tried to fix the issues you're having with your Surge Bluetooth. I'd like to clarify that your Surge bonds in two ways with your phone.

 

Bluetooth connection will be done as soon as you first pair the Surge with the phone, this connection will be visible on your phone settings (under the Bluetooth section); but not on the Surge. Remember that you always have to check the requirements for syncing with compatible devices, to make sure that your phone will be properly syncing with Fitbit trackers. 

 

The other way that your phone syncs with the Surge is via Bluetooth Classic. This is required only for the feature Music Control. It's not necessary to use this feature to sync your Surge with your phone. So, if you're still having syncing issues; I would recommend to try these steps to reconnect your tracker with your phone. If the Bluetooth Classic on your Surge is not working properly these steps will help too. Cat Happy

I have an LG k20 it is not on the list of supported devices. Ugh. Can this be fixed on fitbit side?

You're right, it is not on the list but you can try to troubleshoot it since we've received feedback from other users in the same position. It might be able to connect in a better way. Check these syncing steps and give it a try.

 

I'd also recommend to post this request in our Feature Suggestions board where our developers can check what our Fitbitters need and take this in consideration for the next updates. As a piece of advise, please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for.
