Calorie burned incorrect due to high heart rate

Hi Everyone

I take methylphenidate (Ritalin) to help combat narcolepsy and as such my heart rate when I'm even mildly active is much higher than average ratings. Becuase the Surge only takes my resting heart rate at night (when the drugs have worn off) my actual resting can be up to 30bpm higher than the one taken at night.

Because of this my calorie output is being measured at about 5k per day. Much as I'd love this to be true (I could have steak for every meal) I know its out by about 2.5k.

I've adjusted the heart rate tracker so my custom active rate is about 120bpm to compensate but does anyone have any other advice what kind of adjustments I can make? I'd rather not switch off the heart rate tracking as its a good to way for me to monitor fatigue (higher heart rate = pronounced exhaustion).

I'm sorry, but I don't think there are any other adjustments that are possible to make with the current software. The custom zone changes the monitoring and display, I think, but I've not heard of anything that adjusts the calorie calculations to compensate for this sort of condition. Maybe contacting support directly would get you a more informed answer than I can provide.
