Calories Burned Incorrect

Hello,

I got my Surge 3 weeks ago. Calorie burning showed a BMR of approximately 2,300 per day- which is true for my weight- until 2 days ago. However, it started showing inconsistencies from yesterday morning. For example, this morning by 09:00 it is showing 2,473 calories burned with no activities at all. Normally it used to show around 800 calories with no activities at this time of the day until 2 days ago. I reset the Surge with no change. It is obviously incorrect, I cannot possibly have burned 2,473 calories with no activities in 9 hours. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Hi @ogunduz

There's a setting on the food log page (computer / fitbit.com / account) which can be changed to increase the accuracy.

Change setting on Food Log Page

On the Food Log page, standard a setting is used to base the calories allowed on personal history, when being more or less active the calories can increase or decrease alot.

Change to sedentary when desired to increase the accuracy, when being more active, the calories to eat will increase.
