Every time I sync my fitbit I lose calories

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

It happened twice today. I sync it this morning and I had about 1100 calories and then once I synce it went down to 900. Then I was at 2400 calories right now and once I sync it I went to 1500 calories

Edit: I'm trying to figure out what went wrong and I noticed for my workouts it said I only burned 12 cals. Which is ridicoulus since I was on the ellipictal for 30 mins and lifted weights the other 30 mins and I know I burned that as I using my fitbit to track the calories.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Gamerkuro, hope you're doing great! Have you been manually logging activities?

Typically, your steps will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the steps you tracked while wearing your tracker at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my Surge and walking and I reach 10,000 steps, then I go to the computer and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 1 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many steps you took and it may bring my step count to something below 10,000 steps. To clarify, activities should only be manually logged when you forget to wear your Surge.

Would you mind to double check this?

Hi, I'm having the same kind of problem.

I usually just select exercise shortcut on my Fitbit... And it appear as automatically on app  when I finish exercising.

When on treadmill today (I had burned 1714 calls before treadmill) any calories increase was lost when the Fitbit blaze was synced. In fact I'm back to 1700 calories now when I was on over 1900 at one point on treadmill.

Every time  it syncs today now,  it goes back to 1700.

The uploaded exercise was 292 cals when I checked when finished!!!! But the app and blaze showed 1714!

Seems like there's something very wrong. I only got it last week. Never had such problems with Surge

i have restarted it. I also deleted the exercise and tried to put it in manually -now it's further decreased abs stuck on  1700 cals!!! Should I return it to Amazon?

hope my rambling message made sense

Thanks

Hey my friend @GwendyMc, it's nice to see you around! it's nice to see you around! I don't wanna provide you with steps not related to your issue, therefore, after reading your post I'm still not quite sure if what's happening to your data is related with a recent issue we had with multitrackers. However, this issue is now resolved and you shouldn't experience discrepancies while using your Surge and Blaze.

Can you take a look at this thread and confirm to me if that is pretty much what happened to your data? If it's, but you keep losing data after syncing I'd recommend doing the following:

  • From the Fitbit app tap the button on the top left corner and tap "devices".
  • Tap on your Fitbit listed in the menu and then at the bottom tap "Remove This device".
  • Go into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on "Forget This Device".
  • Go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

Make sure all other bluetooth enabled devices are out of range when you do this.

Go for any activity you'd like to record and let me know if you lose data after syncing. Smiley Very Happy

But.... if the information I'm providing has nothing to do with your issue, please let me know so I can further assist you with this.

Catch you later!
