Hi my Surge seems to be counting 3 flights of steps for every one climbed ? Is there a known issue / solution for the surge. I am running the latest sw. Thanks in advance.

It's nice to see you around @busterandwoody, welcome to the Forums! Very weird let me say...Have you tried restarting your Surge?

Thanks for the heads up, though. I'll keep an eye on your to see if this happens after restarting the tracker.

Mine has done this today! It says I've walked up 44 flights of staris and in reality it won't even be more than 14.  Can I edit it to correct it?

Worked the next time I used it after a restart. Hopefully just a glitch!

Does it correct it after a restart or can I edit it somewhere?

It didn't correct it but the next time I used it (following day) it was fine after a restart

I suspect the restart is in this case irrelevant.

My surge does this sometimes and I suspect it happens when the Surge recognises that you are moving and detects a pressure drop at the same time.  The altimeter relies on measuring atmospheric pressure changes but wouldn't register a floor count if you were sitting still at the same time.  So something like a weather front passing when you were walking (or exercising on a cross trainer as I was today) will result in an erroneously high floor count.

So toady in 15 minutes on a cross trainer according to the Surge I climbed 20 floors.

The Surge could in theory stop the floor count increasing when you're doing an exercise that means you're in a fixed location but it doesn't appear to.

Hey guys @chris2121 @busterandwoody @SunsetRunner! I'd recommend restarting the Surge as my friend @busterandwoody mentioned before.

In regards with the wrong floors, there's no way to delete them, but you can definitely negate them. Once all of this has been attempted, try testing the trackers and let me know how them go.

Catch you later guys Smiley Very Happy
