FitBit Surge acting strange

Hi all,

I got a surge for xmas and have had nothing but problems (glitches?) with it.

First the battery wasnt lasting more than 48hrs, fitbit sent me a new one.

I gave my old one to my son (he doesnt care about having to charge it every day) but now there are some strange things going on. He will occasionally receive my text notifications (not all the time, maybe 1 every couple of days). It seems as though our trackers are linked somehow as yesterday we both did 78 floors! I'm guessing it's mine and his added together but how, I dont know? I've removed the old tracker (his), and set up my new one and he has his own account so I have no idea why it is doing this.

Now today I notice that it's not registering my 'active minutes'. I've been to the gym, done the school run twice, been shopping, plus housework etc, and it says 13 active minutes. I was at the gym for an hour! lol

Any ideas? Or should I just give up with fitbit altogether and get my money back?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Dimps76! I hope you're doing great!

Let me help you with this, It's great to hear that you got the battery issue solved in regards of the same information that you're getting with your son, when you setup your replacement  tracker you will only get the data from that tracker, did you your son create an account and set up the Fitbit?

If you're experiencing  issues with the active minutes I suggest you doing the restart, this should solve it

Let me know how it goes!
