I doubt that is possible;  it requires a special hardware chip - not just a software update.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thx...you are probably right. 

Do you know for a better battery for surge. Mine lasts just 2 days. I buy new on Amazon but it is the same.
