Fitbit Should Give Discount to Surge Owners Wanting The New Blaze!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I feel cheated by Fitbit that I purchased my Surge for $250 only a few months ago just for them to come out with a new model that is much better and $50 cheaper. Fitbit should replace all or our Surge models for free with the new Blaze. So not right!

I can understand where you're coming from but the Blaze hasn't replaced the Surge - they will both be sold - and is positioned between the Surge and the Charge HR rather than being seen as better than the Surge.

The top model remains the Surge with its inbuilt GPS and higher price tag.

Those who have had issues with the Surge should be offered either a possible swap for a Blaze which we know would be a retrgrade step but some may be willing to accept that instead of possible repeat issues with the strap either breaking or causing rashes. The other option is a refund with a discount voucher for a Blaze.

My preferred option would be a Blaze GPS as in an email from Fitbit they said they could not guarentee the strap would not fail again and as it is a known issue should be something they look to do for the future..

The Surge is a premium spec device with a budget build quality, sadly....

Agreed, my battery life is horrible and the band still erritates my wrist from my surge!

Would love the blaze but can't afford to buy another new watch!

I would say the device is not fit for purpose and as the battery life is poor put in a claim for a warranty issue and request a refund. Then buy the Blaze. You would need to prove the strap is an issue with photos showing damage or the rash issue is causing you problems. The battery issue would be for them to check but its worth contating Fitbit about it. Luckily here in the UK and Europe manufacturers have to give a minimum of a 2 year warranty on all electrical products.

When having purchased the tracker from Fitbit and having less than 45 days.. it can be possible to get a full refund and get the Blaze instead. Of course this means being without a tracker until the Blaze becomes available.

I might just do that.... My surge is about a year old believe but recieved one replacement from Best Buy a couple months ago bc I had Best Buy black tie.

My battery died and they gave me a brand new watch. It's ridiculous that I have to take my watch off bc of the bad material they made the strap with.

I charged my surge yesterday, low battery already...

GPS off, all day sync off and about to do a reset again today and see if that helps.
