Fitbit personal food database

Hi everyone,

My name is Atanas, I'm from Bulgaria, and I'm new to the Fitbit Community. 🙂

I'm using the Fitbit app for iOS from 3-4 weeks and recently I've purchased my first Fitbit tracker - Surge.

I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase, so I want to thank to all of the Fitbit team for the great work! Keep going!

My question here is about the food database. I'm using the US database, but here in Bulgaria and my region there are foods and ingredients that are more specified so I have to add some of the product manually. The problem is that it takes a lot of time for me no matter I add them from my phone or from the PC. I read that MyFitnessPal has a great database and I'll check it out.

I was wondereing is there a way to create a custom food database but without adding the foods and meals one by one? I can arrange a big database written in Bulgarian, including almost all of the products, ingredients, meals and so on. It includes a wide range of nutrition info too. I think that this type of database will facilitate all of my friends and the bulgarian users of the Fitbit app.

I hope that there is a easier way to add foods and meals instead of one by one, manually. 🙂

Greetings!

Hello @Atanas_K, welcome for joining us in our Community! When you create a custom food this will be saved on your most recent or most logged food, sort like a personal data base. But so far what you are requesting is not possible. Although a Bulgarian Food data base will be a great suggestion.

Actually there is a similar suggestion in our feature request board that I invite you to visit: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Bulgarian-Food-Database/idi-p/1160074

You can vote for this idea and add your comments. The product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.

Catch ya later my friend.
