Fitbit surge band worn through in less than 12 months

I have had my surge for 9months and the strap has just broken. It is worn through at the end with the buckle. I can't see a way to get this fixed. How does the warrantee work?

Send them an email in the help/warranty section and they will ask for a picture and fill out a form. My Surge broke about same time frame and it is covered for a year from date of original purchase and Fitbit replaced it very quickly. Sent me a brand new one and setup takes no time to switch from one surge to new one.
