Floor count insanely high

My floor count was insane today and certainly an error. It clocked in at 299 floors during the course of a 14 mile run. Granted, it's hilly where I live I'm fairly certain that's not right. It was also snowing and sleeting the whole run so I'm wondering if that triggered an incorrect report?

that's in fact a pressure sensor, with values changed to floors (3 meters/10 feet for a floor).

if the weather is quickly changing, it can be normal.

mid-december, i had 54 floors when going to town.

today, 4 or 5. no wind, no rain.

@coymichelle It's great to see you in the Community! What my friend @SunsetRunner is totally correct and it's a great explanation of why the tracker is affected due to pressure. I'd like you to take a look at this article that also has extra info about how floors are being measured.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Support Team so they can investigate further and get you back on track.

Keep @SunsetRunner and me posted on the outcome and we'll be around! Smiley Happy

The step counter doesn't know how to count.  I go to this building and go from 1st to 3rd floor, some times I get 1 flight, some times 2, some days 3 and some days I can go from 1st to 3rd floor and not get any flights.  When outside and going up and down hills (not even big ones), a four  mile walk can be anywhere from 5 to 50 flights, depending on weather.  Normally it is about 7 but some days, especially if windy, it can be insanely high.
