Floors and steps way off Fitbit surge

Hi was was noticing that when on my four wheeler a couple times that I got about 15000 steps and around 270 floors climbed for the time I was on it. This of course makes one think they did a lot of exersise when in fact nothing was really done. I also notice that when normal driving my steps will increase. The other thing both my wife and I noticed that is when we are in grocery store pushing a cart that next to nine of our steps are tracked. Pretty disappointed with the accuracy so far. Anyone got any tips on any of these issues?

@Jbird02 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! That is a known behavior when going on bumpy roads. The tracker will count those brisk movements as steps and floors as well (for changes in pressure or weather, gust of wind). To erase those steps, check this post from @Rich_Laue to have it fixed. Also, change the dominant hand setting to "dominant" as it will decrease step count sensitivity to prevent over counting when you are not moving.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
