Fourth Surge on Warranty

So I have just had to contact Fitbit for the fourth time because my replacement has broken. This will be my fourth Surge and the band is always the problem.
The first watch it broken by the screws then the replacement had a different material for the band and since that the next two have bubbled. It seems to only take roughly 2-4 months for something to go wrong. I don't do much sport so sweat isn't a factor.

As I enquired before they have told me that the warranty is only valid from your purchase date so basically once that warranty is up you have to put up with your broken device.

I have just asked if I can have a Blaze as a replacement as this is cheaper and loses the GPS and so far I haven't seen anyone have band problems, the band is also removable making replacement possible.

They are unwilling to give me a Blaze or change the warranty so it looks like I have been doomed from the start to have Surges that break till my warranty runs out.

The only good thing about Fitbit that I can say is that they are easy to contact and fast to deal with replacements however they are running on a script and won't go off that to help the customer.

I would like to see if anyone else is having this problem?

I have had no problem with my Surge, but I have seen this issue reported. I think it is an individual thing.   Going forward it looks like the company is moving towards rplaceable bands on newer models.

Fitbit does not operate an exchange program and will replace your tracker with the same tracker while it is under warranty, as you have discovered.  Like most companies their policy is to honour a warranty from the original date of purchase.

If you would prefer the Blaze I have read that they will often offer a discount on the purchase proce for people in a similar position to yours.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android
