I've read many of the posts about missing steps but am posting mine here as well.  So a couple days ago I went for a walk.  Set the my surge to hike so I'd have a gps distance.  I walked 3.03 miles and it only gave me 3650 steps which means my stride would be 4.39 feet per step.  Should be closer to 6k steps.  I've done a reset on the watch and seemed to be working but then the same thing happened again today.  I have my height set at 6' and I left the stride set to the defaults.  Do I have a faulty watch?  I've only had it since december.  Maybe I"m missing something?

You certainly could have a faulty fitbit. I am going to send my FIFTH one back. I have tried them five times and each time they have stopped working within 3 to 4 months. I am very disappointed in this product and I will not be purchasing another one.
