Heart Rate significantly less than my real rate

My surge no longer accurately records my heart rate no matter where or how I strap to my wrist or arm. It tends to significantly understate my true heart rate when exercising e.g. When my real rate is 140 it rarely goes above 90. It is now two years old. If seems like something is now faulty ?

A warm welcome to the Community @Pattent! I would like you to restart your Surge and double check these tips to properly wear your tracker, so it can give you the correct heart rate data What should I know about my heart rate data?.
