Hi,
I have a surge myself and it works perfect, so I decideed to buy my wife one.
We bought the first one and it would not setup due to a scrambled screen, I tried several resets (holding the left button and bottom right) and finally got it to set up but the screen would still come up scrambled. So it was returned the same day for a replacement.
The second Surge setup fine but the heart rate monitor is not working, I have tried several resets and tried turning the HR monitor to all the different positions and syncing on each. I have also tried removing the device from Fitbit and reloading on IOS and Windows 10.
Does anybody have any ideas or will I just have to try for third time lucky?

I have gotten very erratic heartrate readings. I have tried putting the watch up on the arm but it does not matter. I am going to try to wear it tighter and put it on my blood vesel on the underside of my arm. I
