Heart rate monitor overheating.

I was wondering if this happened to anyone else...

My Surge worked fine for a while, I've had it since Christmas '14. At some point the heart rate LED's began to stay on, even when I shutdown the device, until the battery ran out. Four days ago, I went hiking & noticed the LED's weren't working at all. Today I went hiking again with it (for the GPS), and an hour into my trek I felt a burning sensation on my wrist. The heart rate optic square had gotten toasty hot. I made sure the heart rate monitor was off, shut down the device, & pocketed it... I'm guessing the device is useless now, or is soon to be.

@Renkin Welcome to the Fitbit Community! That is not a normal behavior from the Surge.  Try to restart your tracker. Also, reset the heart rate option, you can do this from the Surge itself on the settings. Turn heart rate off, sync your tracker, turn it back on or auto, and sync again. If you keep experiencing any kind of burning issues; report the problem to customer support for further assistance.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
