Heart rate monitor reading

I find that when in bike exercise the HR reading increases steadily when I am freewheeling downhill. The road surfaces where I cycle are not great and I wonder is it the vibrations which causes this. I doubt my actual heart rate is increasing when I am just sitting there freewheeling!!!!

Maybe it is just that exciting!

Seriously though, I agree, it could be the vibrations.  I would recommend you make sure the Surge is at least 2 fingers above your wrist.  That makes it a bit tighter (so less of a bounce on your arm) and also gives it more tissue to evaluate.  Hope that works - let us know!
