Heart rate not showing on clock screen

I've had my surge for about 6 months. On all the ads for the product it shows the heart rate on the clock face. Cannot figure out how to add heart rate.

That's from the one of the exercise modes on the Surge, looks like Treadmill mode. You can get the heart rate to show in other modes too, like Workout: press the left button, swipe until the Exercise screen, press the bottom right button, swipe until the Workout screen, press the bottom right button.
