Heart rate on my Surge is not working

HR facility has ceased to register, has this/ is this a known issue ?

Thanks for posting your question here, sorry that the HR option on your Surge is not working working. Have you checked if this option is "On" or "Auto"?  You can try to do the next steps: 

 

1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim. 
2. Let go of the buttons. 
3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on. 

 

After you've done so, please turn off the HR on your Surge Settings and force sync it. Later on turn it back on with the option "Auto" and sync it again.

 

Give it a shot and let me know if this worked for you! Smiley Wink

I was having the same issue with my HR tracker. I followed your instructions and it is working fine now. Thank you so much! I was worried some was defective!
