@Gina.T Hi Gina T. You have moisture under the screen. Place the Surge in a small bag of uncooked rice to draw the moisture out. This may take a day or two. The red LED may be due to the moisture. While the surge is "drying out", allow the battery to drain to zero. This would be about 24 hours after the red LED goes out and the display goes blank. Then recharge and restart. Now for the bad news. Since moisture got in once it will do so again. The Surge has a bad seal. There is no fix for this. If your Surge is still under warranty call Customer Support for assistance. Good luck.

Thank you for the info. I'll try that, but my question how did the moisture get in ? I never used it near water as I know it's not waterproof. Now to the bad news, I don't have the receipt as it was a Christmas gift and I only started using it 4 months ago.

@Gina.T Your Surge has a bad seal and even humidity (water vapor) can get inside. Tell Customer Support it was a gift. They can determine when your Surge was "activated." They are usually very helpful.
