Hike pauses when moving too slow (or not moving)

Hello,

The hike functionality seems to pause when moving too slow or not moving. I tried recording my GPS tracks, but when I had to make a stop for a bit, sometimes I find that the GPS is interrupted. Does anyone know if it's possible to turn that off, so when hike mode is on it records until it's turned off manually?

Thanks for popping by the forums @eugenee! That's odd! I'd like to know more information on how you're tracking your hiking activities, since as far as I know this activity doesn't have an automatic option to pause the activity. We might have to check if it is pausing it because it looses the satellite signal or if the weather is affecting. Do  you manually continue the activity? How do you wear it, meaning is there any possibility that you might be pausing the activity by mistake with your clothing, bracelets or with your watch maybe? Is there any specific time frame? Is this the first time that it happens?  

In case that it is a hardware issue, try restarting your Fitbit Surge to see if this solve the mystery.
