Hourly activity goals and Daylight Savings

I live on the east coast in the New York timezone and noticed my hourly activity goals had shifted from 9-6 to 8-5.

Fitbit Help says to either adjust the settings in the app or to adjust it via the fitbit.com dashboard. Two problems occured:

First, fitbit.com dashboard has no option to adjust Hourly Activity Goals in the device settings.

Second, adjusting the goal in the app will do nothing because the timezone has bugged out.

Solution: In the app, go to Account and then open Advanced Settings. Turn off Automatic Time Zone, then turn it back on and sync. This should fix any problems regarding hourly tracking of steps and allow you to adjust your hourly activity goal as well.

I have been having the same problem today with my Alta. Your solution worked. Thank you.

Same problem with my HR - tried turning off the auto time zone, but the app keeps changing back the time from 9/6 to 8/5. And, even though I know when the 8 lights up, it's actually 9, it's very annoying!  Dashboard on the .com site is still 9/6, it's just the app.  Any other suggestions?

Try setting the goal to 10/7. It seems the actual setting and dashboard are displaying different values. Fitbit says data gets lost when the time zone rolls back, I'm assuming the server hasn't updated the time change, hence all the issues with daylight savings time people are experiencing.

I agree - it's annoying.  That solution of turning off automatic time zone did not work for me. Hopefully they'll figure it out soon.

Turning off automatic time zone did not work for me either.

I used the bed time of 10:01pm and the wake time of 5:29am and it worked. I could not use 10:00pm and 5:30am. Go figure
