How to spot a fake Fitbit Surge based on appearence

Hi all,

 

Im looking to help a friend out identify if the Fitbit Surge he is looking to buy is fake or geniune. 

Is there an easy way to identify thiz purely on look and feel?

Want to ensure he is not being ripped off.

You didn't say where your friend was looking or if it was a second hand Fitbit. You can find a list of authentic retailers here - click

 

I would think any individual selling a Surge would have the original box and related items. These devices have the Fitbit logo on them. The logo is slightly raised.

 

Be sure if it's new, that it's on the list of authentic retailers. It's easy for some of these knock off devices to appear real.
