Everytime i want to sync my surge on my oneplus one i need to pair the surge. Even pairing takes 3-4 tries. I've tried removing it from my bluetooth list, shutting down both tracker and phone, powering down other bluetooth devices, reinstalled the app. This surge is a replacement unit send to me on 05/26/2017...not even a week of use on it...

I ran into this issue a year or so back @Toon87 - your dongle is probably left behind in one of your PC's.
For best results keep only a single "boss", your mobile, since it travels with you. When you are near the dongled PC and the fibit connection App is active, there is a competition for your tracker's attention when you are within 20 ft of both devices. No communication issues since that first month of getting my Surge so I assume that was the issue. Just my suggestion.
For technical help be sure to contact support and let them know your experience.

Thank you for your reply. Problem is i don't use a dongle. Don't even own one... Also the tracker does this at home and at work.

Thanks for checking @Toon87; was worth a shot, don't forget there could be a sneaky iPad, tablet or still active retired mobile you also sync'd to/from forgotten and sleeping on a shelf somewhere with bluetooth still on and connected?

Even if i leave it on with bt connected i can sync it once maybe twice. Afterwards doesn't sync anymore so need to pair again to sync.
